Thanks for the thoughts man. Glad you enjoyed this blast from the past. You may also enjoy some of the Bishop Spong interviews. A different critter as well, but in some slightly different ways.

Thanx Guys for putting the bloke that has incredible points of view on. I enjoy Bob because he posits with well placed reference throughout his interviews. Critters like these are few and far between!

I note his quickly mentioning the revelation of Patmos as a mixed tome, a mish mash of prophetic texts from various prophecies previously uttered in what we call the "old testament".

I see it slightly differently; Obviously not an overarching text on the end of the world to come and not in the light of the coined "Preterist". I see the document as a "history" of the Julio Claudian Syrian states and the arrival of the Flavian rule. All put to the tune of Semitic poetic license.

Its probably just as difficult to make such sense of the document as it is any other. Bob certainly has it right though; the recognition of the entities detailed in the revelation certainly stress monotheistic thought.

If there is a show detailing the "justified thought processes" of the current cults and snake oil salesmen promoting end time philosophy, could you let me know. The ones I come across are very shakey on the ground when it comes to biblical literacy, history and the acceptance of skepticism in our current community

Thanx for the show guys and thanx Bob for the great views you have.
