ep 8.6 - Robert Costa
May 26, 2008
This is the last podcast that Nick sends from Australia. It is amazing to think that we have kept this podcast weekly from two sides of the earth, but that is the power of The Nick and Josh Podcast.
Robert Costa lives in Melbourne, Australia and does work in produce as well as sitting on the board of Presence International Ministries. We found out about Presence when our friend Mike gave Nick some DVD about the end times. Very much in the vein of Andrew Perriman’s The Coming of the Son of Man.
This is a short interview where Robert Costa shares some of his theology. Enjoy the end of the Aussie accents. (Well maybe one or two more).
The music was from Deerhoof.

Through the course of this interview, Mike challenges us to consider what it means to be patient advocates for justice not merely on a global scale, but also in our personal networks.

This week Nick talks to Dave Andrews from the Waiters Union. The Waiters Union is a community of people that live in West End, an aging suburb in Brisbane, Australia.Dave and the Waiters are active in the community in all sorts of ways. He is an author, musician, activist, speaker, and teaches classes at local universities on community development. He works to find sustainable ways to live and be a community of integrity in the area of West End. All of his work involved the underprivileged - refugees, mentally unstable, destitute - all of these make up a congregation that is treated with dignity and respect.
